Inclement Weather Causes Schedule Update to
Sea Pines Ocean Gate Lane Closures

Inbound Lane Closures Will Continue Through December 9,
Weather Permitting

Outbound Lane Closures Will Occur December 10 and Resume
December 13-14, Weather Permitting 
A Major Roadway and Infrastructure Reconstruction Project is underway along North Sea Pines Drive.
 
Due to limitations on working space and the need to excavate stormwater drainage pipe and install replacement pipe, periodic lane closures at the Ocean Gate (located at Cordillo Parkway and South Forest Beach Drive) will be utilized. 
 
Inbound Lane Closure Update
 
  • Due to recent inclement weather, the Inbound Lane at the Ocean Gate will be CLOSED to traffic from 7 AM - 5 PM, Thursday, December 9th, weather permitting.
 
  • Drivers entering Sea Pines must use the Greenwood Gate located off of Greenwood Drive. 
 
Outbound Lane Closure Information
 
  • The Outbound Lane at the Ocean Gate will be CLOSED to traffic from 7 AM - 5 PM, Friday, December 10th weather permitting.

  • Work at the Ocean Gate will not occur over the weekend and both lanes will be open (December 11th - 12th).
 
  • The Outbound Lane Closure at the Ocean Gate will resume Monday, December 13th through Tuesday, December 14th, from 7 AM – 5 PM, weather permitting.
 
  • Drivers exiting Sea Pines must use the Greenwood Gate located off of Greenwood Drive.
 
Additional Project Reminders:
 
  • Traffic control and flaggers will be present during this work, drivers are asked to use caution in the work zone.
 
  • Leisure trails near the Ocean Gate will be closed in both directions to accommodate this work.
 
  • Emergency vehicles will have continuous access during these closures.
 
  • Heavy traffic delays are expected, please plan accordingly.
