Animating Infrastructure Grant Program
The Vermont Arts Council invites public art project ideas for consideration for an Animating Infrastructure Grant program!
Only 1 week to go before the deadline of June 1! Funding supports public art projects in VT community infrastructure. The guidelines are available and the project pitch application is simple.
1) Select the funding category: Design grants ($5000) to conduct an artists selection process and develop a design for the artwork. (No need to submit a budget or have your artist identified yet)
Implementation Grants ($15,000) to fabricate and install an already designed work of art. (no budget required but submit artist name and sketch or images)
2) Answer a few questions about the potential site, goals, your vision for the artwork, leadership and potential partners and a story about your community. Send along a few images of the site, and some that demonstrate a vision for the potential artwork.
If your ideas are selected in this phase – you will be invited to develop and submit full proposal due in mid-September.
Questions – Email Michele Bailey, Senior Program Manager or call 802-402-4614.

PSD Seeks Consultant(s) to Provide Technical Analysis of a 100% Renewable or Clean Energy Standard for Vermont Distribution Utilities
The Department of Public Service (Department) seeks to enter into a contract with one or more companies that can provide quantitative technical analysis of up to six scenarios – several of which remain to be defined through additional stakeholder input – for expanding Vermont’s current Renewable Energy Standard to 100% renewable or clean, relative to a Business-as-Usual baseline reflecting the current Renewable Energy Standard of 75% renewable by 2032, and supporting programs.
The analysis requires metrics by which to quantitatively evaluate the impacts of each scenario on affordability, renewability, emissions, grid requirements, and other environmental and economic outcomes. More information can be found in the Request for Proposals document.
Information on the Department's ongoing effort to review Vermont's renewable electricity policies and programs can be found on the Department's Renewables webpage.
