They also had the opportunity to look at the engineered drawings of the project to learn how each phase will be executed, and gained some insight on how impactful the project will be to making the morning commute safer and more efficient.

Gently Used Children's Clothes Collection
We will be collecting much needed items for the young children (newborn to 6 years old) at an Afghanistan refugee camp, now through next Friday, October 15. Items needed are gently used clothing, and new socks and underwear. Note: the clothing needed will take them through the approaching winter. Please drop items off in tightly packed plastic bags to make shipping easier. Students can drop donations off in the Little Theater lobby when arriving to school.
Please consider enlisting the help of some of your neighbors, friends and family members. Thank you for your generosity. We are inspired by Jesus who, over and over again these past few weeks asks us to not push the children away but to welcome them…as we clothe them we welcome them under Jesus’ care.

Lord, please help us to remember that the more we complain, the more we limit our ability to see the blessings in our lives. We also ask your blessing on all those whose labor enhances our quality of life. We recall with gratitude the many hundreds or thousands of people involved in the food we eat, the clothes we wear, the transportation we use, the roof over our heads. Our world is utterly filled with Marthas. Please, Jesus, bless them all, and bless their families. Amen.
