The Fatherhood Manologues
The Amistad Center for Arts & Culture presents "The Fatherhood Manologues" February 10 at 5:00 p.m. The virtual performance is an exhilarating collection of short stories about fatherhood. Each story provides a unique point of view on being a father or being fathered. All the stories will take you on an emotional roller coaster that reminds the audience of the important role fathers play in the lives of their children.
Urban League Black History Month Celebration
On Thursday, February 17 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., the Urban League of Greater Hartford will host its 2022 Annual Black History Month Celebration, "A Legacy Revealed – One Nation. One Assignment." This virtual experience, streamed digitally on YouTube and Facebook, will showcase the achievements and contributions of African-American, Afro-Caribbean, and Afro-Latino cultures in the Capital Region with an interactive virtual exhibit, inspiring entertainment, and the 2022 Legacy Honors awards ceremony to honor local residents.
