The panel, moderated by Tammi Wallace, Chamber Co-Founder, President & CEO, shared insightful information with the Delegation about how supplier diversity programs work in the U.S. and their respective work to support diverse owned businesses. Panelist included Dave Feldman, Chevron, Brian Hall, Shell USA and James Harris, H-E-B. Thank you, Chevron, for hosting the panel event in their beautiful space at the Ion.

The Houston Dash rolled out the red carpet for Pride Night hosting the Chamber in the Star Bar. Chamber Co-Founder, President & CEO, Tammi Wallace, and Board Member, Jason Rocha, served on a pre-game panel focused on Pride in Sports. Various LGBTQ+ community leaders were recognized on the field during halftime including Shenice Brown, Chamber Board Member, Thomas Lopez, Chamber Foundation Board President, Jack Berger, Chamber Director of Sales & Business Development and Tammi Wallace as well as Nathan Maxey, Board Member, with nonprofit member, The Normal Anomaly Initiative.

The Chamber is partnering with the Houston Local Organizing Committee (HLOC) who is working with the NCAA and is looking for qualified minority and diverse owned business certified vendors, including LGBTBE® Certified businesses, to complete work in Houston. As a lead up to the 2023 NCAA Men’s Final Four, there may be business opportunities available for an assortment of industries.

Grow with Google: Small Business Bootcamp

The Chamber is partnering with Grow with Google to help our members learn digital skills, grow their businesses and access free tools & resources as part of the 2022 Chamber Business Builder Series.
This is a seven-part live training series that will be hosted virtually. The Small Business Bootcamp will run on various dates throughout July and August. You can sign up for as many sessions as you like! Participate live where you can ask questions with a Google Professional Trainer. All registered participants will receive links to the recorded sessions.

Chamber Co-Founder, President & CEO, Tammi Wallace, along with Chamber Member, Kym Adams of The Business Team, participated in the Pride in Tech Panel hosted by the Ion Houston. The one-of-a-kind panel showcased LGBTQIA+ leaders in Texas' entrepreneurship ecosystem and focused on hurdles faced by queer and gender-diverse founders and celebrate those working to make things better for all.
