LOTS TO SHARE, please take a moment to read...We have much to be Thankful for at Kids For Kids. Next week we will begin our Thanksgiving festivities and some families will be out part of the following week and we are closed on Thanksgiving and the day after.
CLASS FEASTS: This is a time for the children in the class to prepare a community meal. There are sign-up sheets in front of the school for each class. If you wish to sign up for an item, please feel free to do so. All items must be store bought and will be served on Friday, November 19th. We can warm items for you or they can be sent in by 11:00 already warmed.
THANKFUL TURKEY FAMILY PROJECT: Please pick up a cut-out recycled cardboard turkey from in front of the school. Use any media you wish to decorate with your child. We will have them on display and after they will be donated to a local homeless shelter or soup kitchen to help cheer up those who are less fortunate.
PUBLIX GIFT CARD DRIVE: Some families at our school are going through difficult financial times. In years past we have created baskets with turkey and all the trimmings. Last year we moved to a gift card drive so that those families who need our help can buy the exact items their family enjoys. If you wish to share your heart with another family, please send in a Publix gift card in any amount. Remember a lot of people bringing in $5 cards adds up! This is a great time to teach kids kindness.
SCHOOL PICTURES: Next week is our school picture day. A photographer will be here taking photos and you will get a proof sheet to view photos on line and place orders. You may send your child in their uniform or special clothing with a uniform to change in after. Siblings will also take photos together. Siblings will be taken on the day of the OLDEST child. You should have gotten a flyer home today showing the backdrop so that you can coordinate your clothing if you wish. Please be sure to turn in your picture form when you drop off your child. Here is the schedule for school pictures:
Tuesday, November 16 Siblings, Brown, Purple, Kindergarten
Wednesday, November 17 Orange, Rainbow, Blue, and absent kids from 11/16
Thursday 11/18 Green, Red, Yellow, Silver 1 & Silver 2
There was an onsite field trip Wednesday. Reptile Adventure brought snakes, baby alligators, crocodiles, and turtles. The kids learned so much. If your child is in Rainbow, VPK, or K-2 and were in attendance you will see a field trip charge on your Brightwheel account.
