for families

DISTRICT MISSION: The mission of the Cedarburg School District is to provide an exemplary education that challenges students in a nurturing environment to develop into lifelong learners, to become responsible adults, and to achieve their goals and dreams.
From the Superintendent
Dear CSD Parents and Families,

It is hard to believe that the school year is quickly drawing to a close. I’m incredibly proud of our fantastic teachers and staff who have continued to support our students. Over the last few months, I have had the great privilege of seeing their impact first-hand in our schools and classrooms. Today, with 9 days left of school for our seniors and 14 days for all students, we celebrate our collective achievements and accomplishments. Observing the numerous spring concerts and other activities, our students have participated in as the year winds down have been incredible.

From an administrative lens, we have been working hard to prepare for the 2023-24 school year for the last few months. The administrative team remains dedicated to ensuring that each student who walks into our school buildings receives the educational experience to help them grow the most. We are committed to developing our educational practices through Professional Learning Communities (PLC) as a district. To that end, many of our educators will be participating in professional development this summer, focusing on building their instructional capacity to meet the learning needs of each student in their school community. This will culminate with several of our Cedarburg educators being the featured presenters during our “Welcome Back” PLC Institute in August. We are all looking forward to that new learning opportunity. Next year at the elementary and middle schools, we will pilot two different literacy resources as we continue to enhance our students' reading and writing skills. Our instructional coaches and teachers have spent significant time researching and evaluating resources that we can use to continue to engage our students in meaningful literacy learning.

As a district, we continue to be mindful of the need to ensure that our students have a healthy learning environment in which to learn. The CSD Student Services Team and all our staff members are working to help our students who need support with mental health now and in the future. Please feel free to contact your school’s counselor, psychologist, or administration if you have questions or concerns.

Finally, I hope you and your family have a fun-filled and relaxing summer. I am looking forward to the numerous summer events Cedarburg offers, and I hope you are too. And, before we all know it, the 2023-24 school year will be here. :)

Wishing you and your family the best,

Dr. Jeridon Clark, Superintendent
Cedarburg School District is fortunate to have an incredible team who are continuously working collaboratively to create an amazing educational environment for our students. Just about everyone can think back to a teacher or someone within the school that inspired them, igniting a desire to learn. A special person who helped us discover new things or just believe in ourselves. All too often, we forget how important and meaningful it can be to say thank you. Cedarburg students will continue to grow and succeed because of our dedicated staff, who do truly amazing things each and every day.
THANK YOU to the School PTOs and all the wonderful families that made our staff feel so appreciated during Teacher Appreciation Week! It was above and beyond! We are lucky to have such an amazing community.

GPS & Cameras Added to School Buses
The Cedarburg School District and Go Riteway Transportation Group are happy to announce the installation of GPS technology and cameras on all buses within the District on May 1, 2023. GPS technology, and the corresponding mobile app, will allow families to track the school bus's location better as it completes its route each day. To sign up for the free app, families will need to complete the instructions on this informational document. This mobile app will serve as the primary communication method from Riteway to families, so if you want to know when a bus is running late or when a route has been changed, please sign up for the app. All questions related to the app should be directed to Riteway via email at cedarburg@goriteway.com or by phone at 262-375-3102.

Another addition that has been made to school buses over the last few weeks has been the installation of cameras on all school buses within the Cedarburg School District. These cameras will allow administrators to follow up on incidents that may occur on the bus throughout the year. These cameras will record video and audio footage and will be stored for at least 30 days after recording. Applicable School Board policies will determine access and management of the video and audio recordings from cameras.
Parent Satisfaction Survey
The Cedarburg School District looks for ways to improve the student educational experience and better serve families. To help us accomplish this goal, we are in the process of conducting a parent satisfaction survey to understand what we are doing well, where we need to improve, and help establish planning priorities. Administered by School Perceptions, you should have received an email invitation on May 8 to complete the survey. If you have taken the survey, thank you! If you have not, please take a moment to do so; the survey will be open until May 22. We value your feedback. Together, we will continue to shape the future of our schools.
