CARVER MARKET NUMBERS
We continue to feed our community.
Our Carver Market distributions continue to be an important resource for the people of Port Chester. During the month of April, we distributed food to 1,313 households. That equated to 4,171 children, adults and seniors. Since April 2020, we have fed 66,312 Port Chester families and individuals.

Our students have been engaged in fun thematic activities as well as receiving support and homework help.

The Rye Nature Center has been a long time partner with the Carver Center and Ms. Siobhan Prout has been providing programming to our students every Tuesday in the area of animals and their natural habitats.
Our May calendar for Edison School will include a Disney Concert, a Magic Show as well as a Family Movie night!
VIRTUAL CAP WELCOMES TINKERING!
Carver Center's STEAM Coordinator, Emilio Vargas has been working with all of our students weekly on fun and innovative virtual experiences that teach the children how to be creative in a digital way. He introduced them to the concept of 3D printing, and more recently, architecture and urban design. This month he is gearing up to work on his Garage Band unit, which will have the children making sounds into music!
