May 2021
Friends,

Anniversaries are a reason to celebrate! This month we would like to recognize Dee and Michele for the outstanding role they play here at Lake Oconee Eye Care.

Dee English has been with Lake Oconee Eye Care for 15 years and Michele McClendon has been with us for 5 years. As a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication to Lake Oconee Eye Care and to our patients, we treated them to a special gift from Greensboro Jewelers. We couldn’t do what we do without our amazing staff. Dee and Michele, thank you!

We love our patients! We are always here for you and welcome your call, email, or visit to our office anytime.

In 1983, a group of hardcore fishermen who spent their days exploring the globe and battling extreme elements came to realize that the sunglasses they were relying on weren’t as hardcore as their adventures. Seeing the world in absolute clarity and protecting their eyes was a must. So when they couldn’t find worthy sunglasses, they decide to build their own. And Costa was born.

When you think of the differences between men and women, vision and eye health probably aren’t on the list.

By the time you finish reading this, they might be new additions, because women face many different eye health concerns over the course of their lives than men do. Women are more vulnerable to a number of eye diseases than men, though they are less likely to sustain a sight-threatening eye injury. What can women do to ensure good eye health?

Men and women aren’t just different in the obvious ways; their eyes are different too!

Women are more susceptible to many different eye diseases than men, but men have their own unique eye health concerns. What’s more, men and women don’t process visual information quite the same.
