Dear Saint Mark Family,
I pray you are well, and are still celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
The past seven days have been filled with wonderful experiences that I want to celebrate, and to share them with you.
The first is the wonderful turn out at our Community Easter Egg Hunt last week Saturday. Although there were legitimate concerns days before about the forecast, and although it rained all day, they still came. Our gym was filled with families and children, enjoying the treats and fun activities we had set up for them. It was a wonderful sight to see. And Saint Mark showed up and did a fantastic job. Thanks to every member who helped to make it possible for the children to have such a grand time. It was a day well spent.
Then there was Easter Sunday. What can I say? Having the opportunity to do three services, to see the sanctuary filled, to listen to the beautiful music the choir made in praise to God, to receive five new members and welcome them into the life of the church, and to meet many members for the first time made it one of my best experiences in ministry.
There was also the Easter Brunch immediately after worship. The tables were filled, the food was good, and the fellowship was great. Thanks to Dale and his team for making it all possible.
Then on Tuesday, the paving of the area immediately behind the offices leading to the parking deck and the old garage was finally completed in full. This is a sure sign that we will have our parking soon, and I am more than excited.
There are so many wonderful things happening in the life of our church, and I see them as markings of what God is preparing us to do. I am excited about where God is leading us, and I pray you are discerning it, and are excited also.
