It's been an adventurous, yet overwhelming 2021. We've broken records with 735 spay/neuters in July and rescued cats off the streets including 42 cats in a hoarding situation. Our rescue efforts and calls to our helpline have dramatically increased while cat intake reached max capacity.
For this special day we have started a #GivingGrid for everyone who donates, to upload a photo of their cat (or dog!) so we can share the grid of love! Our goal is to raise $8,000 today and we know with your help, we can get there! Please share with every cat lover you know. Community cats need us now more than ever and every donation will go such a long way! Donate today and share our link on your social media to help spread the word! We know we can help so many more cats and kittens, but we cannot do this without your love and support.

Our Annual Christmas Bazaar is coming up next weekend, December 11th, 2021 from Noon to 4 p.m. at Harmony Hills Cabana Club!
We would love it if you stopped by to say hi to us and some adoptable kittens! Music, refreshments and free cat treat bags will be given out while supplies last!
Christmas item donations for this Bazaar will gladly be accepted so don't be shy if you would like to donate!

Thanksgiving Feral Food Drive |
Thank you everyone who came out to our Thanksgiving Feral Food Drive! We hope everyone who came out enjoyed receiving Krispy Kreme donuts and coffee! Our Thanksgiving season is starting with lots of love because we raised $2,701 in monetary donations and enough food to support 17 food program colony feeders! The food donation alone is enough to help ensure 400 cats did not go hungry on Thanksgiving. Special shout-out to our wonderful team mates, Monica, Megan, and Marcella for ensuring the success of this food drive. We appreciate all that you do! |

Our SAFCC Helpline responds to calls from people asking for help and provides information and resources.
We are seeking volunteers with flexibility in their schedules. Extensive training is provided.

The San Antonio Humane Society is going to be closed on certain days in December. Dates vary by location so please see below and arrange your trapping schedule accordingly.
Fredericksburg: This location will accept 10 ferals on Saturday, December 11th. Closures will be on the following days:

Meet our Cat of the Month Sammi!
Sammi, a 20-pound tuxedo cat, has had a rough year. His original caretakers lost their jobs and apartment during the early days of the pandemic, leaving both them and Sammi couch surfing for a while. Sammi was not welcome at some of these homes and was soon taken in temporarily by a SAFCC volunteer.
In the past 18 months we have learned so much about Sammi and think he may be part Manx due to his stubby tail! Sammi does well with dogs, but does not get along with other cats! Sammi really wants to be someone's only cat again.
