for a
HOLIDAY CONCERT IN THE GARDENS
Come celebrate the holiday season with a FREE outdoor a cappella performance by Columbia’s Metrotones and Princeton’s Tigertones! The two premier vocal groups will perform in the Jay Gardens. Nibble on treats and stay warm with a mug of hot cocoa from Jimmy’s Soft Serve at our final event of the season.
Spread the joy even further by bringing a non-perishable item for Port Chester families served by the Carver Center. They are also accepting individual donations of personal items, such as diapers. Please see the Carver Market holiday wish list here.

Watch the Tigertones perform on GMA's "Good Morning America"!
Congratulations to 2021 JHC speaker Elizabeth Kolbert, whose latest book was named one of the Washington Post's "Ten Best Books of 2021"! The Pulitzer Prize-winning New Yorker writer spoke about the book at a virtual event in May moderated by the New York Times's Henry Fountain. "Kolbert expertly mixes travelogue, science reporting and explanatory journalism, all with the authority of a writer confident enough to acknowledge ambiguity," write the Post editors. "The book is sometimes inspiring, occasionally bleak, and entirely worthy of our attention."
