Hello Colt Families,
Today marks the first day of the Hybrid+2 in-person learning pathway for the Middle School. It's so great to see many of our students back from CV Cyber Academy and students moving from 2 days to 4 days of in-person learning!
We're excited to share an incredible Open House with our families this week. Since we are unable to come into the building, our staff has created an amazing virtual Open House. In this presentation, you will find student work, our very own music department performing the alma mater, and some unique facts about our teachers. Each of our houses and departments have created videos for families to learn more about the content areas and expectations for the school year. Please click the link below to access the MS virtual Open House.
Thank you to the MS teachers and staff for preparing this entertaining and informative glimpse into our building. And, thank you all for your continued partnership in your child's education!
Conference days are scheduled for November 2 and 3 and will be held by phone or Google Meet. Look for specific information within the presentation about scheduling appointments.
The Annual CVMS Turkey Trot will be held on Monday, October 26, 2020. Students are asked to bring in a small monetary donation. A $3.00 to $5.00 donation is requested and will be collected during lunch this week. Families may also choose to donate via the PTSG Paypal Link. If choosing to donate via Paypal, please include the student's name and homeroom number in the memo. Students and families are encouraged to donate whatever amount they are willing and able to give. In recognition of supporting the Chartiers Valley community, students get to spend a fall afternoon outside walking and talking with their peers (while still using COVID-19 precautions)! All donations are used to provide grocery gift cards for CVMS families that may be experiencing a need during the Thanksgiving Holiday season.
DATE CLARIFICATION: Previous District communication reported that students have a half day on October 30. All Fridays are remote learning days for all students (CV Cyber, Hybrid, and Hybrid +2), so students should complete a half day of work remotely on October 30.
Also, there is no school for students on Monday, November 2 and Tuesday, November 3.
