Shoulder work will begin on Friday, August 21, 2020. On Monday, August 24, 2020 and Tuesday, August 25, 2020 from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM there will be a single lane closure with flaggers by 1663 Hacienda Road. JA Salazar Construction and Supply Corporation will be replacing a water line near 1663 Hacienda Road.

The Park Amenities
This is a reminder to all residents that due to the Los Angeles County Safer at Home Order, and LA County Department of Public Health, The Park is open only for active recreation (running and walking). NO group/activities and NO crowds/gatherings. Water fountains are currently shut off and park tables flipped over to to ensure The Park is used appropriately during public health orders. Further, make sure all pets are on a leash and that you pick up after your pet(s) during your duration at the park.

The City of La Habra Heights is NOT renting The Park gazebo or the Gym in response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Complete the CENSUS
The U.S. Census Bureau announced that September 30, 2020, is the new deadline to respond to the 2020 Census, which is a month sooner than previously planned. Health officials sound the alarm that current low census response rates put L.A. County at risk of losing federal funding to respond to emergencies like COVID-19 for the next 10 years.

Census forms can be completed online at my2020census.gov, by phone at 844-330-2020 or by mail if you receive a paper form. The L.A. County 2020 Census website at census.lacounty.gov offers county-specific information in 16 languages. The U.S. 2020 Census website offers general information in 59 languages including in-language guides.

The La Habra Heights Fire Department will be conducting a training at The Park Gym on August 28 and 29 from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM. The Lower Parking Lot will CLOSED on August 29. Upper Parking Lot will be available to the public.

As a result of COVID-19, and resulting orders and direction from the President of the United States, the Governor of the State of California, and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, as well as the City of La Habra Heights Emergency Declaration, the City will evaluate the current circumstances before each meeting to decide if it is safe to permit the public to physically attend City Council meetings. Commission and Committee meetings are being held by phone conference. If you would like to make public comment, please call City Hall at (562) 694-6302 as it gets closer to the meeting date and a staff member will be happy to provide more details on public attendance at City Council meetings or assist with providing public comment at Commission and Committee meetings.

If that is not possible, every effort will be made to attempt to review emails and answer the City Hall phone lines during the course of the meeting.

As a reminder, the County's updated Safer at Work and in the Community Order encourages individuals minimize time spent out in public. City staff is still available to conduct business online or over the phone. To safeguard the health of residents and City staff, protocols have been implemented requiring face coverings, enforcement of social distancing, and sanitation procedures when attending appointments at City Hall.

The City of La Habra Heights continues to adapt with the ever-evolving situation and thanks all residents for staying home to prevent the spread of COVID-19. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact City Hall.

As part of the City's continued efforts to promote public health and safety, we urge all residents to follow social distancing and face mask guidelines at all times. Make sure to check-in on family, friends and neighbors. Always Keep at least a 6 foot distance between you and other people or use your phone to call, text or send an email. When visiting businesses and other public places please wear a cloth face mask/covering.

Elderly residents who are unable to leave their homes due to underlying health conditions or mobility issues for necessary food, supplies, and medications are encouraged to call City Hall. City staff is here to assist residents. If you have questions, know someone who may need assistance or would like additional information regarding City operations, call City Hall at (562) 694 - 6302 or email at info@Lhhcity.org. 

The phones are staffed during normal business hours, Monday–Thursdays from 8:00 A.M. – 5:30 P.M.

Individuals attempting to report a violation of the Health Officer’s Order may contact LA County Public Health through three different methods.
