Hawaii Energy Relief Grant - Help for Small Business

Hawai‘i Energy’s newest program provides relief to Hawai‘i’s businesses experiencing hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through this new Energy Relief Grant program, qualifying small businesses and nonprofits may apply for a grant to cover up to 100% of costs for an energy efficiency project (capped at $25,000) that will help save money on energy.

Grants are available to businesses in Hawai‘i County, Maui County, and the City & County of Honolulu.

An energy efficiency project could be anything from replacing an old air conditioner with something more efficient to upgrading commercial kitchen equipment with the latest ENERGY STAR® appliances.

Hawai‘i Energy has $1 million in funding for this program, which they hope will reach a lot of Hawaii’s businesses in need. The first round of applications are due on September 30, 2020
