May- A Month dedicated to Mary Mother of Jesus and Mother of the Church
May is one of the months traditionally dedicated to the honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

During this month we will have our Novena of Masses for our mothers, living and deceased, starting on May 9, Mother’s Day. Please send in your names to the office this week. You can use PushPay to make an offering or place it in an envelope in the stewardship basket. Send names to info@oratorychurch.org. At Assumption, there will be a May Altar at the Mary Shrine. People are invited to bring flowers and place them there during the month of May. On Mother’s Day weekend we will have a simple May Crowning at the 5 pm evening Mass.
Imagining Mary Coming in May

2021 Annual Catholic Appeal
The Annual Catholic Appeal is underway and all of us are encouraged to support this common effort. A range of programs and ministries are funded by the ACA that serve vulnerable communities among the elderly, poor, immigrants and youth. We could never manage this outreach ourselves but together we can have impact and truly assist our sisters and brothers in need.

Over the next several weeks, envelopes to support the Annual Catholic Appeal are being made available in our church sites. This is our “in-pew” effort is to help us reach the goals set by the diocese for each parish based on annual income. These goals are based on annual income of the parishes.

The goal for St. Boniface is $58,000 and the goal for Assumption is $26,000. If you are on PushPay you can also can participate.

Special Lenten Collection Thanks
Thank you very much to all who contributed prayerfully and financially to the Lenten Season Special Collections for our Sister Parish in Turkana. Thanks to your generosity, we are able to send $3025 to St Mark’s parish in Lokitaung, Turkana, Kenya to support their parish activities and needs. In times when everyone’s funds are limited, we are especially grateful to you for sharing with our brothers and sisters so far away. Over the coming weeks we will share cards sent from the children of St Mark’s parish.
