Dear Powerful Parents,
It’s almost time to cast our ballots in another important election! Hopefully you have received your sample ballots and are researching the candidates to determine who deserves your vote. Voting is the most powerful way to influence law and policy locally and nationally.
This election season is also a wonderful time to teach our kids about how our judges and law- makers are elected. Students are not always taught in school about how our republic works. This election cycle is a great opportunity to discuss what values are important to your family and why you are choosing to vote for certain candidates. We can discuss with our kids how our vote is another way we advocate for our families in education, healthcare, taxes and other important issues that have a direct impact on our personal lives and our communities. Actively participating in elections sets a great example to our future voters and politicians!
Power2Parent urges our community to vote in person and early if possible. We want to make sure your vote is counted, not contested. The following are some important information and dates related to the general election on November 3rd.
