From Our President & CEO
The change of seasons is a beautiful time in New England. We're excited for some upcoming changes of our own, including the development of our next Strategic Plan and the addition of a VP of Clinical Services and member of our senior executive team.

I hope you've had an opportunity to read our FY 21 Annual Report. We were so pleased to share an in-depth look at our accomplishments during fiscal year 2020-2021, and we're thankful for the ongoing support of people like you for helping make those accomplishments possible. We're excited to move "forward together." If you haven't viewed our Annual Report yet, you can view it online here >

As the pandemic continues, we continue to put the health and safety of the people we support, their families, and our staff first. Given the variants’ impact and the full FDA approval of the Pfizer vaccine, we continue to encourage our staff and the people we support to get vaccinated, and to receive a booster if eligible. Vaccines are highly effective at preventing severe illness and hospitalization, as well as lessening the viral load that a person could spread to others should they become infected. As of October 23rd, 69.3% of Massachusetts residents have been fully vaccinated, with 10.3 million doses being administered. Strong vaccination rates will help us all return to a more typical way of life faster! If you'e interested in getting vaccinated, you can head to the VaxFinder website and find a convenient location near you.

I am also very excited to welcome Kelley Medeiros as the newest member of our Executive Team. Kelley will be overseeing our clinical services as well as the diversification of our services. Kelley is a licensed social worker and holds a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology as well as a Master's degree in Public Health. She has extensive experience working with people with mental health diagnoses as well as children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. We will share more about Kelley and her new role soon!

Enjoy the beautiful season and stay safe.

Sincerely,
Mary Valachovic
