The Fort Myers CRA with its numerous community partners have supported arts and cultural developments in the City of Palms since 1984. We invite you to share and participate in these events. Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center
Art Center Re-Opens June 5

The Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center announces its official reopening in June with two art exhibitions, dueling pianos, and returning yoga classes!

Art shows will be featured in the Grand Atrium and the Capital Gallery from June 5th through June 25th. The opening reception takes place on Friday, June 5th at 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, located at 2301 First Street in downtown Fort Myers.

Stage@Home Continues

Florida Rep has launched a FREE Virtual Series: Florida Rep Stage@Home .
This series occurs weekly on Fridays at 3:30pm via Zoom. We are limited to 100 participants per session, but in the case that a session fills up, you can always watch along later as we will post a recorded version of all sessions the following week.

June 5: Where Are They Now? Checking in with Former Interns
Since the theatre’s early days, its internship program has been training a generation of young professionals in all departments. In this virtual talkback we will hear from past interns about their careers beyond Florida Rep and how the internship set them up for success.

June 12: Becoming Helen Keller
Audiences will get a chance to talk to the three amazing women behind Florida Rep’s 2018 production of The Miracle Worker. Director & Ensemble Member Maureen Heffernan joins Liza Jayne Longenhagen and Betsy Hogg, the actresses who portrayed Helen Keller and her famed teacher, Annie Sullivan, for an in-depth discussion about what it took to bring the American classic to life.

Join the Virtual Film Discussion

Join the Fort Myers Film Festival for virtual film discussions on their Facebook Live during T.G.I.M. at home edition, starting at 7 p.m. each week.

Host Eric Raddatz, and co-host Melissa Tschari DeHaven along with a special guest judge short indie films submitted to the Fort Myers Film Festival and have your say as to whether or not it makes the grade for final programming during our festival!
