Together At Last!

We were so excited to see everyone who was able to attend our first gathering, and hope that your students will be able to join us when we get together again. Thank you to everyone for wearing your mask, and practicing caution when it came to interaction. We really set the standard for how to do this the right way!

We have T-Shirts for everyone who was unable to come last Sunday with this year's Thriving Light theme. You can get one on our next Sunday Night Gathering.

Sunday, October 18 (Fall Festival Costume Party)
4:00 - 5:00 pm

Middle Schoolers gather in the Pumpkin Patch.
High Schoolers gather in the Upper Field/Concrete Slab.

While this is a major step towards our regathering process, we will still need to strictly adhere to the Mt. Zion UMC policies regarding safe gatherings per our COVID-19 restrictions. Since we will be meeting outside, all students are invited to bring a chair or blanket to sit on if they would like. All students will be required to wear a mask while in attendance.

COVID-19 Youth Group Policies

+ All students are required to wear a mask on the church property.

+ Students should maintain proper social distancing while together.

Fall 2020 Is Here!
And So Is Wednesday Night Connect!

As we enter into this new season of life, after all that we have been through, we believe that it is important that we remember that we not only have a light in Jesus Christ, but that we too can be that light in the world.

Our scripture verse for this year is John 1:5.
"A light that thrives in the depths of darkness,
    blazes through murky bottoms.
It cannot and will not be quenched."

The words on our secondary logo alongside the lighthouse come from the chorus of the song "We're Not Alone." You can listen to it in the video linked at the bottom of the newsletter.

This year has been one that we all will remember for the rest of our lives, so join us on Wednesday Nights and Sunday mornings to find out how you can remember 2020 for all the many ways that you chose to shine the light of Christ!

Sunday School on Zoom
10:00 AM

We believe that growing and learning together is a vital aspect of our faith. This Fall we are inviting our students to log on and join us each Sunday morning for a relative lesson to help us continue to engage with scripture and how it relates to our lives. Everyone will join together for classes, with occasional small group break outs for more in depth conversations.
