Welcome to The Root NHC
As most of our Naturopathic Consultations are currently Virtual (by phone or video), we wanted to take the time to introduce you to (or remind you of) our space. The intention behind our Clinic has always been to create and maintain a space where you could feel that your healing had begun from the moment you walk in the door. For those that still physically walk through our door for massage therapy or acupuncture, we have chosen additional sanitization, personal protective equipment, and desktop dividers that help to keep us all safer without compromising our connection and care (more details below). And for those that receive care from home these days, we work to make sure that you still feel connected to this space, and to your healing.
We are here to support you. Our door is open (metaphorically and physically so that no one needs to touch the handle :). We know that our level of care is different, and we know that everyone deserves it. We also know that everyone has a different, current level of readiness for change - even if the change is "feeling better". We meet you where you are and move with you toward your goals. We work to uncover the underlying or ROOT causes of your current state of health and sometimes that includes your mindset. I am so proud of our amazing team and the impact they continue to have on the health and lives of others.

Increased Safety Measures
Mandatory COVID Screening - you will receive a questionaire by email 24 hours prior to your appointment. We require this form to be completed prior to every in-clinic appointment. If you have a virtual appointment (phone or video) scheduled, please disregard the screening questionaire. This screening will also be done verbally by your Practitioner upon arrival. If you answer "yes" to any of the questions, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment when you can confidently answer "no" to all questions (if it is a Naturopathic Consulation, you can book a phone/video consultation instead). Furthermore, if you answer "yes" to any of the questions, please refer to the Public Health Covid-19 page for further instructions. Sanitizing Hands - everyone must visit the washroon upon arrival (turn right once you reach the second floor) to wash their hands well with soap and water, and then please also use the handsanitizer provided at our door on your way in.
Temperature Check - please use the touchless forehead thermometer mounted at the entry of our clinic. If you have a temperature of 37.8C or greater please do not enter, return home, and follow public health guidelines for self-isolation and covid testing.
Masks - everyone is asked to please wear a mask when in the clinic. A cloth / re-usable mask is acceptable. The mask must cover both the nose and mouth completely during your entire visit.
Please come alone to your appointment unless you require assistance. We also ask that you come right at your appointment time rather than early. This helps us to minimize the number of people in the clinic at a time and increase our physical distancing.
Payment processing - currently, we are not accepting cash payments. We recommend taking advantage of our direct billing service (to your insurance provider), or credit card (to tap) to minimize time spent in our reception area, however Debit transactions are also available.
Clinic Sanitization - we have increased measures and frequency of cleaning in the clinic as a whole and treatment rooms, linens, and all surfaces will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between clients.

Our Naturopathic Doctors will continue to provide Virtual Care (phone/video consultations) predominately during this time. For those that require an in-person assessment or acupuncture treatment, all in-clinic Naturopathic appointments can be scheduled by phone or email through reception, and all Virtual Care and Massage Therapy can be scheduled in this way or through our online booking site. |

Products and Tea
are always available for purchase. Natural Health Product packaging will be sanitized upon arrival to the clinic, and increased protective precautions will be taken when blending teas. If you would like to purchase products without an in-clinic visit, we ask that you call or email ahead of time so that we can prepare your order to minimize time spent/number of people in the clinic. We will continue to offer our "contactless pick-up" service during our reception hours (listed below), in which your package is prepped and left for quick pick-up just outside our door at a convenient time for you. Our in-house blends of "Dr. Lauren's Teas", and patient custom blends are also available through our Online Tea Shop with options for shipping or free contactless pick-up.
