COVID-19 and Holiday Travel
Earlier this month, the state of California issued a travel advisory in advance of the holiday season. COVID-19 transmission is increasing in many states and countries. Those arriving, or returning to California, from other states or countries should self-quarantine for 14 days after arrival. This recommendation does not apply to essential travel. All Californians are encouraged to stay home or in their region and avoid non-essential travel to other states or countries. Learn more from the Governor's office.
COVID-19 Guidance for Gatherings
The L.A. County Department of Public Health wants to remind residents that it is critically important that everyone follow public health measures that protect us from COVID-19 and minimize the spread. There is a high level of risk associated with gatherings of any kind, especially when people are inside, and not keeping physical distance of at least 6 feet and wearing face coverings. Currently, only private gatherings of three or fewer households are permitted, as long as the private gathering is outdoors, everyone wears a cloth face covering and keeps at least six feet apart, food is in single-serve disposable containers, and the gathering is two hours or less. Read LACDPH's Guidance for Celebrating Holidays here.
