Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday second only after Earth Day! I am filled with gratitude this year for our beautiful planet Earth with plentiful food, incredible animals, and stunning beauty! What we need to realize though, is that

we are all connected.

Climate change is affecting us all.

Here in my home of Colorado we’ve had horrendous wildfires with our neighbors and ranches losing homes, and losses of historical buildings in our precious Rocky Mountain National Park. The fires in California are even more devastating and please remember our inter-connectedness with California as it grows much of our food for the USA.

But there is hope and many helpers out there and simple things we can all do to make a huge difference and secure a future for our children and future generations.

And it's Free!

Spaceship Earth: What Can I Do? is a multimedia environmental presentation I’ve been sharing since 2012. Because of COVID I have recorded two 60 minute versions and uploaded them to Youtube and now have the ability of sharing anywhere around the globe!

I was born south of Cleveland, Ohio in the small town of Berea near the Cuyahoga River, which used to catch on fire in the 1960’s because it was so polluted. I remember doing art projects on this in 4th grade. Between that and growing up in the beautiful Midwest woods, I was connected with nature and knew the names of all the birds and trees and deeply inspired to take care of our beautiful home we call Earth.

My favorite class in college was entitled “Spaceship Earth,” a term coined by Buckminster Fuller in 1952. On the first day of class, we were asked to close our eyes and “imagine we’re on a spaceship, way out in space. We’ve only got so much air, so much water...” I got it right away! That’s us, Earth. We have a limited amount of resources that will not be replaced!

These are the kind of stories I share in “Spaceship Earth” along with art, photography, science, and live music which uses both the left and right parts of the brain, making for an even stronger impact. And it's a fun way to learn!

Recent story and GREAT review for Spaceship Earth

I recently was having a down day and trying SO hard to switch my focus of feeling depression about all that's happening in our crazy world with COVID and all. I had recently hooked up with an old friend from 1992 by email and she called me out of the blue. Her call was SO what I needed!

My friends call sparked my new purpose. She said she'd watched the entire hour of my recently recorded version of Spaceship Earth and how it so inspired her and her husband! THAT is what I live for! And THAT is my new purpose...to spread the zero waste message as far and wide as possible. With Spaceship Earth now recorded on Youtube with the ability to share it virtually anywhere on the planet!

Here is what my friend, Toria, wrote to me the next day with her permission to use as a review:

"Before I watched this film, I thought I was doing my best to take care of the earth and recycle. After watching the film, I realized my family and I needed to step up our game on conservation and living in integrity with the earth and all the beings on the planet. air them as per the video..."
