Dave Ellis enlisted the assistance of Ellis and Kaki McCracken to take the offering to the altar this past Sunday. Ellis and Kaki were excited to be asked and they smiled the rest of the service. Mom, Leslie, was very proud of them.
Returning God's Gifts: Stewardship is what we do after we say "I believe".

Please return your completed pledge card by November 7th so that the Budget Committee will begin work on our 2022 budget. Thank you for your continued generosity.
5th Sunday at Claremont
This Sunday at 2:30pm, please join Trinity’s worship team at Claremont Living Facility to provide an abbreviated service complete with musical sing-along for the senior residents. It is very meaningful to bring joy and to worship alongside residents who are no longer able to attend church outside of the facility. Claremont Living Facility is located at 800 Claremont off of Hwy 281 North. Turn past Walgreens and follow Mormon Mills Rd to the left and turn right on Claremont past Office Depot. Curve to your left to the Living Facility.
Journey
It is a good idea, on any journey, to pause on the way and take stock. If you were hiking a mountain, you might reach a plateau and pause for a while, looking back to see all the places you have hiked through. What’s the journey been like so far, and what have you learned? How will you go forward; what route will you take? Call on the Spirit of Jesus. St. Augustine said, ‘We come to God not by navigation, but by love.’

We Need Shepherds!
These volunteers are key to our model of service and transformation of lives. In general, the shepherd is simply a friend, mentor, and support while a family/individual works through goals and tasks to rebuild their lives.

We could use shepherds who are interested in helping with specific cases, teams of people who could rally around an individual or family, or people who are interested in a single part of the shepherding process. Some specific primary roles are helping with budgeting and finances, skills, etc. Also, one key component is working to plug each client into a local church body that can help support and guide the family for the long-term. This could be a regular church attender that is open to inviting and welcoming a family to their specific church or someone who would like to take a client/family to try different churches.

We would love to add you to the team! In the next few months we will have a lot of big developments that will allow us to impact a large number of families in need. This will require a lot of shepherding support!

Children’s Chapel
Parents or Grandparents, please plan to bring your children directly to the Children’s Chapel before the 10:30am service. They will be brought back to you at the Peace after getting to worship with age-appropriate prayers complete with hand motions and after hearing a Bible story. The Chapel leaders are looking forward to teaching your kids in person once again. Masks will be provided for any who are unvaccinated as we request that masks be worn to protect the children.
An Overview of Ruth
This Sunday, the Old Testament (Hebrew Scriptures) comes from the book of Ruth. For an overview of the book, watch this illustrated video from Bible Project, which underscores the meaning and beauty of the story of Ruth and Naomi.
God’s Supremacy in Love
"The God imaged by Jesus exerts no dominating supremacy. In Christ, we see an image of a God who is not armed with lightning bolts but with basin and towel, who spewed not threats but good news for all, who rode not a warhorse but a donkey, weeping in compassion for people who do not know the way of peace. In Christ, God is supreme, but not in the old discredited paradigm of supremacy: God is the supreme healer, the supreme friend, the supreme lover, the supreme life-giver who self-empties in gracious love for all. The king of kings and lord of lords is the servant of all and the friend of sinners. The so-called weakness and foolishness of God are greater than the so-called power and wisdom of human regimes.

In the aftermath of Jesus and his cross, we should never again define God’s sovereignty or supremacy by analogy to the kings of this world who dominate, oppress, subordinate, exploit, scapegoat and marginalize [see Luke 22:25–27]. Instead, we have migrated to an entirely new universe, or, as Paul says, “a new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17) in which old ideas of supremacy are subverted.”
from Brian D. McLaren, The Great Spiritual Migration: How the World’s Largest Religion Is Seeking a Better Way to Be Christian as reprinted in Richard Rohr’s Daily Meditation, 10-22-2021.
All Saints’ Sunday
On Sunday, November 7th, we will celebrate the Feast of All Saints. All Saints’, as many of you know, is the only moveable principal feast day of the church year; if it is not celebrated on the actual day, it can be moved to the following Sunday.

As is our custom, we will begin our worship with the Litany for all the Saints, and we will include in this litany the names of any of our loved ones who have recently died. We were unable to do this litany in 2020, so if you wish for the names of any of your loved ones who have died in the past 2 years to be read during this litany, please submit those names to Georgia at admin@trinitymarblefalls.org. We look forward to celebrating with you that Great Cloud of Witnesses into which so many of our loved ones have entered.
Breakfast in the Courtyard
Come enjoy breakfast in the courtyard with your fellow parishioners on Nov. 7th between 9:15-10:15am. We will have simple, pick-up food and lots of good conversation. There will not be Adult Christian Ed that day so we can visit with our members and guests who attend the early and late services. It will be an additional way to celebrate All Saints Sunday.
United Thank Offering
The Episcopal Church has a wonderful tradition of the UTO blue boxes. Though started decades ago by the women of the Episcopal Church, now both men and women enjoy using the UTO method as a way to reinforce the spiritual discipline of thanksgiving. Keep it on your dresser or office desk or car, and when you have some change, drop it into the box as you say a prayer of thanksgiving to God for your blessings. Even during the pandemic of 2020 over a half million dollars were collected and distributed as grants to small churches and Episcopal programs in the U.S. and overseas.

Trinity will be in-gathering your UTO from November 14-28th. Please drop them in the basket in the narthex. Thank you!
