Return to In-Person Instruction on January 19

On Tuesday, January 19, students in grades 6-8 who are enrolled in In-Person Instruction will return to full in-person instruction (five days a week) at their building. The schedule we will follow is below. In addition, the end of the second quarter will be Friday, January 29, a half-day for students. The third quarter will begin on Tuesday, February 2.

Upon return to a full in-person schedule, all middle schools (including NACA) will run on an Activity Period schedule each Wednesday going forward. In the event of any (or all) middle schools needing to transition to remote learning, each school would continue to run CORE schedules M/T/TH/F and an Activity Day schedule on Wednesday.
Attendance

In order to be marked present for the day, students must log in to their homeroom via Blackboard Collaborate at 8:10 a.m. every day.

This is the only way the attendance is taken for the school day.

Students who are late for school (after 8:10 a.m.) can log in tardy via our tardy form.
One-Stop-Shop for Daily Classwork and Homework

To help support students and families, we have created a “One-Stop-Shop” to access homework and daily assignments by grade level for all students. This “One-Stop-Shop” will enable you to see assignments without needing to log in to each Blackboard course, maximizing time and efficiency.

Activity Schedule

During remote learning, we will be following our activity bell schedule. This will allow students to have time at the end of the day to make up work or to meet with a teacher/counselor. Teachers will schedule time with the students if needed.
Upcoming Half Days

There are two scheduled half days for students during the 2020-2021 school year. The first half-day is scheduled for Friday, January 29. School hours for the first half day are:

  • Middle Schools - 8:10 a.m. - 12:10 p.m.

Students in grades 6-8 will have lunch before being dismissed.

The second half-day is scheduled for Thursday, April 1. School hours will be the same for the second half-day.
