Priya Mathur
Learning Experience Designer

Priya Mathur works on the BrainPOP Educators team as a Learning Experience Designer. In this role, Priya engages Certified BrainPOP Educators around the globe in conversations about how BrainPOP can meet the specific needs of teachers and students. Before joining BrainPOP, Priya was a teacher and assistive technology consultant.

Marley Zeno
Lead Learner ELL

Marley brings a depth of knowledge in ELL pedagogy and language acquisition to supporting teachers in creating accessible and engaging learning experiences for their ELLs. Prior to joining BrainPOP, Marley taught elementary ELLs for seven years in NYC public schools and supported pre- and in-service teachers as a former adjunct lecturer at Hunter College. Most recently, Marley provided professional development to teachers of ELLs on strategies and best practices.
Explore how to build a lesson that enables meaningful and equitable access for a diversity of learners, including English Language Learners. Attendees will learn how to design lessons with multiple equity-driven, research-based pedagogical frameworks, including Universal Design for Learning (“UDL”), Differentiated Instruction (“DI”), and CASEL’s Social and Emotional Learning (“SEL“). Attendees will use these frameworks to develop differentiated and impactful learning experiences that meet the needs of all students. Attendees not yet subscribed to BrainPOP can receive a 90 day OpenPass to BrainPOP and BrainPOP ELL.
ALL are welcome, including anyone in a non-administrative position!

In CCSD, those in non-administrative licensed positions may count this workshop for license renewal AND ALSO 2.5 CUs - THOSE IN NON-ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS EARN BOTH! 
(unlimited CUs in this category for those in non-administrative positions)

In CCSD, administrators and professional-technical administrators may count this workshop for license renewal OR 2.5 hours toward step-advancement - not both for administrators. 
(maximum of 30 hours per advancement cycle for administrators in this category)!

Washoe County participants will be required to also register for this course in "MyPGS" in order to receive in-service credit toward salary advancement.
