Apple Blossom Parade September 18th
Yes, we will be having our Parade on September 18th at 10am down Main Street. Let's celebrate a new beginning for our town. Please make sure and continue to adhere to our Counties health guidelines. I am relying on everyone to self monitor and enjoy the day.
We have T-Shirts for sale for our 100 yr. Anniversary. If you are interested please stop by our office Tuesday through Friday from 11-3 to purchase yours. We have men's and women's to choose from.
The Sebastopol Chamber of Commerce has one board position open beginning July 2021; our terms are for 2 years. If you are a member and would like to become one of our board of directors please email me at linda@sebastopol.org and I will send you the information. We are a working board and we meet the 3rd Thursday of each month at noon. I hope you will consider this opportunity if you have a few extra hours each month to help us continue to be a voice for our business community.

Greetings West County!
I want to take a quick moment and say hello. My name is Stacy Fortin, I am the new Work-Based Learning (WBL) Coordinator with West County High School.
You may be asking, what is work-based learning? WBL is an instructional strategy that is essential in preparing students for success in postsecondary education and future careers. All WBL experiences involve interactions with industry or community professionals (you) that are linked to classroom instruction/curriculum.
There really is an abundance of employment and career opportunities for our youth in our county; I plan to facilitate internship opportunities, host guest speakers in our classrooms, and connect local industry professionals with our wonderful teachers to co-create classroom projects. In partnership with our community, I believe these opportunities can build momentum as we work together!
I look forward to meeting with you in person and discussing future collaborative opportunities for our students.

Kindly,
Stacy Fortin

THE SEBASTOPOL SENIOR CENTER HAS GREAT NEWS!

I wanted to reach out and personally invite you to come check out the Harvest Cafe at the Sebastopol Area Senior Center. This is the Senior Center's first independent lunch program which is headed up by renowned Chef Gerald Lowe. If you're looking for a fast, fresh lunch option close to downtown, come check us out! All proceeds benefit Senior Center programs and services.

We opened at the end of August to rave reviews. Gerald uses the freshest ingredients possible, using local and regional produce, cage free eggs and organic meats when possible. Vegetarian option always available.

On Friday I had the best clam chowder I've EVER had.
