Dear Colleague,

The Association of Clinicians for the Underserved's membership network began in 1996 with members and alumni of the National Health Service Corps, and we're honored to join the Bureau of Health Workforce in commemorating the Corps' half century of service. As we prepare to celebrate at our upcoming NHSC 50th Anniversary Gala and accompanying awards on August 1, we're also exploring new ways to support the health center workforce at our 2022 Conference and in resources including our self-care guide for the CHC workforce, a webinar on emergency preparedness for CHCs, and more.

P.S. Don't forget that you can help guide our ongoing work as a member of our Board of Directorsapplications are open now.

ACU Supports PA Education Public Health Initiatives Act
ACU proudly supports the Physician Assistant (PA) Education Public Health Initiatives Act, which would strengthen access to care, particularly in under-resourced settings, through targeted investments in healthcare workforce development in fiscal years 2022-2026. Over the next five years, this bill would expand clinical training opportunities for PAs; promote telehealth education for PA students; and support research on emerging challenges to PA workforce development. ACU joins the PA Education Association in supporting this proposed legislation, and there is more to come: join our advocacy network to stay informed.
