Association News
Happy New Year from Florida's Asphalt Association! We hope your holidays were safe and this newsletter finds you well.

In December we hosted the 2020 Florida Digital Asphalt Conference. We had speakers from industry, macadamia, and of course the FDOT. You can view the video below and find more information here.
At the Conference, we announced our Statewide Pavement Awards Winners, and remarkably, Preferred Materials won all three. Congratulations, Preferred! Applications for 2021 will open soon, so please stay tuned for these. Ranger Construction, Ajax Paving, Anderson Columbia, and Preferred Materials were also recognized for constructing the smoothest pavements in the State. Well done all.

2021 looks to be another challenging year, although hopefully, we are aware of all of the big ones already. All things considered, our industry has done okay compared to others facing the pandemic, but there is no doubt that we will feel a dip in funding in the next 24 months and that the health and safety of employees are still at risk. One of these we have more control of than the other, so please continue to stay vigilant in your efforts to keep everyone safe.

If there is anything the Association can do for you, please reach out to us.
