Dear Members and Friends of the Anthroposophical Society in Canada,
Who are you?
Who are we?
One hundred years ago Europe, and those distant peoples living under its colonial structures, had come out of one of the most violent and destructive periods ever witnessed by humanity, this period of the First World War. Powerful fracturing forces had been unleashed on human societies from the distant reaches of the Ottoman Empire to those of the British Empire stretching around the globe. The devastating impact upon the soul life of millions of individuals is impossible to comprehend.

From “Occult Science” to “Spiritual Science” - Steiner’s monumental work in a new translation
Interview with translator Agnes Schneeberg
In her beautiful backyard in London ON, Agnes Schneeberg hands me a dark blue book, hand-bound in linen and leather, the ivory-coloured pages smooth to the touch. It is part of the Chadwick Library Edition of Selected Written Works by Rudolf Steiner. For this exquisite series – with the editorial board consisting of Christopher Bamford, Michael Arlen Davis, Thomas O’Keefe, and Julia and Peter Selg – Agnes was entrusted with a new translation of “An Outline of Occult/Esoteric Science”.

Eurythmy-by-the-Sea/Shore
“Where does the road wend?”
(Nova Scotia!)
What a wonderful feeling to stand with others in a circle again! Eurythmy can bring such warmth and strength; our separateness becomes a wholeness…an image of Eternity!
“Eternity” is the name of the artistic program which Marjorie Taliano-Nordas (eurythmist) and Richard Lalonde (musician), brought to us at Seaforth and The South Shore Waldorf School. Inspired by a verse by Evelyn Capel, first female Christian Community priest in England…it became a theme that wove in and out of our days!

Go Fund Me Porject
Hello — my name is Eric Tardif, anthroposophist, multidisciplinary artist and independent researcher.
A few years ago during my studies in theology I discovered the existence of a group of heretics whose works of art immediately appealed to me. The group in question were the Bogomils. Originally from Bulgaria, they were victims of oppression by the authorities and as a result migrated to Bosnia. At first iconoclastic, they ended up developing a sculptural art that is surprising to say the least. Stones were erected on which were engraved signs, symbols, scenes of everyday life, elements of nature and more.I am doing a fundraising campaign; it is with the objective of raising funds to return to Bosnia and Herzegovina this coming fall and tour the various sites where the Steçak can be found.

A LIFE WITH COLOUR, Gerard Wagner 1906-1999
Members of the Anthroposophical Society in Canada may be interested in a new biography of the painter and anthroposophist Gerard Wagner.
Gerard Wagner came to the Goetheanum in 1926, intending to stay for a week before moving on the France for a painting sojourn. However, he was so impressed by what he experienced during his short visit that he decided to stay and make his life in Dornach. We learn, through him, of the happenings and mood at the Goetheanum in those early years soon after Rudolf Steiner’s death, and follow his path to the Goetheaum Painting School where he studied under the guidance the German painter Henni Geck.

NEW -- Details on the Friday and Saturday Keynotes
FRIDAY EVENING: What is a Healthy Etheric Body in Children? How are These Challenging Times Affecting Children's Forces?
Dr. Hering will describe the basic principles of the development of a healthy etheric body in the child. The focus will be on the four foundational senses and how they transform into the higher senses, as the healthy etheric body provides the ground upon which higher human capacities can develop.
SATURDAY MORNING: What Can We Do to Strengthen Children's Etheric Forces and Immunity?
The children need us to be awake and aware. The challenges described in the previous evening can assist us in our development as teachers. Just as illness can help us develop a stronger immune system, social challenges can help us develop new social capacities, the capacities to help address issues like these:
- How to promote healthy development during this time
- How to increase our strength and resiliency
- How the evolution of our etheric forces can help us meet the social needs of our time
- How adversarial forces are working in the current crises and
- How we can use the circumstances of the current crisis to work in a therapeutic direction
