TASC’s Weekly Scavenger Hunt
FIND MAGNUS MONDAY!
Every week, the Tutoring & Academic Success Center (TASC) hides a bobble-head Magnus somewhere throughout Cleveland State University. Each Monday, TASC will post a picture of hidden Magnus on our Instagram story, and you will have 24 hours to submit your guess of his location! Be specific! The student that guesses correctly and is most specific will win a prize! The winner will be announced the following day and will be contacted. Follow TASC’s Instagram @csututoring to participate!

Drive-in theaters are the remnant from a different time of movies. CAB decided to take that step back in time, but with their own Halloween twist. So they bring you Slasher Saturday, a trip back in time to both a different age of cinema and horror films alike. Try not to be too scared or you might drop your popcorn and nachos but if you do though, no worries because the snack bar is up to the challenge.

Music Department and WCSB Collaboration - Terry Riley's In C
The CSU Music Department Thursday Music Series is back November 4th and needs you! Can you read simple sheet music? If so, you are invited to participate in a 35-40 minutes performance of Terry Riley's In C. Written in 1964, this piece is often regarded as the first minimalist composition. It is made up of 53 cells and can be played by any combo of instruments and voices.

There will be one rehearsal, on Wednesday, November 3rd at 11:30, and the concert will take place on November 4th at 11:30. The concert will be recorded and then broadcast on WCSB 89.3 fm, the student run radio station of Cleveland State University on Tuesday, November 16th at 9am. Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) system is a program with realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. The RAD system is a comprehensive, internationally known women-only course taught by nationally-certified instructors. The course begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance while progressing to hands-on interaction.

RAD is dedicated to teaching women defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assault by utilizing easy, effective and proven self-defense tactics. Our goal is to provide women with the knowledge to make an educated decision about resistance. We provide effective options by teaching women to take an active role in their own self-defense and psychological well being.
