“We spend January 1st walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives...not looking for flaws, but for potential.” ― Ellen Goodman
A Word From Our Founder:

Happy New Year, Everyone! I hope that you all had a wonderful Holiday with family and friends. I had a great time with my family. There were of course some stressful moments but hey, what would the Holidays be like without a little “madness” right? At the end of the day, I am filled with gratitude for all of my family and friends…and for Fresno Music Academy & Arts.

2021 for me in many ways, was “tricky” so I am looking forward to the new year. I have HOPE for great things to come in 2022. Mainly, I pray for this Pandemic to be over. These past two years for all of us have been just, well, just hard.
Despite all the “road blocks” that these past few years have presented, FMAA has still managed to provide a safe and positive environment for music lessons for all of you. We remain dedicated to spreading love and peace, through music at our school. We are continuing to slowly “bounce back” from the last few years and we are excited for the future. Please continue to tell you friends and family about us (-:
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for being a part of our musical family!
- Peace, Debi

PS: There will be a few surprises coming in the next few months. Be on the lookout!!

🎶 Music Facts 🎶

Black eyed peas, ham, and cabbage are considered good luck if you eat them on New Year's Eve or Day because it is believed they will bring you money.

According to lore, making noise at midnight is said to ward off bad spirits and intentions as you enter a new year. The noise scares off ill will and welcomes in happy celebration.
🎸Quick Tips 🎸
Basic triads are fine, but for a bit more musical sophistication, try adding more notes to them (skipping every other scale note) to make sevenths, ninths and elevenths! Give suspended chords a go, too. These involve taking the middle note of the triad and moving it up or down by one scale note.
Welcome, new students!

We appreciate your commitment to helping Fresno Music Academy & Arts grow! Music should be shared with everyone. Thank you!
