Martin Luther College Wind Symphony will be performing a 7:00 PM concert at Luther on Monday, May 15 as part of their spring tour. Host families are needed for the evening of Monday, May 15. There are 50-60 college students who will need housing. Hosts will be responsible for:

• Providing a place to sleep
• Transportation from Luther on May 15 and back on May 16
• Evening snacks on May 15
• Breakfast on May 16

The Luther Board of Control extended a call to Dan Unke to serve as a full-time instructor and boys' varsity basketball coach. Dan is a 2006 graduate of Martin Luther College. He earned a master's degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia University in Irvine in 2015. Dan has 17 years of ministry experience.

Dan served at Carlsbad Christian Academy in California from 2006-2010. From 2010-2019 he served at Divine Savior Academy in Doral, Florida as a high school instructor and coach. From 2019-2022 Dan served at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School as an instructor and coach. In November of 2022, Dan accepted an emergency call to serve as a 4th-grade teacher at Garden Homes in Milwaukee.  

Dan and his wife Leah have four children ages 13, 11, 8, and 7. Leah serves as the early childhood director at Peace Lutheran in Hartford, Wisconsin.

We keep Dan and his family in our prayers as they consider moving to the La Crosse area.
