FROM PASTOR BROCK...

We Need You!

It may seem a little too early for some people, but I like to try and be among the first ones to wish you, "Happy Holidays!" Woohoo! Yes, I know. Wal-Mart and Target have been saying it since Halloween, but finally, I think it's okay for me to jump in with our own commercial. After all, We Need You more than they need your money.

At the Chapel, the Holidays are in full swing, beginning this Sunday with "Mango Sunday." If this term is unfamiliar to you, come to Worship this Sunday and you'll see what it's all about. Then, next Tuesday (November 23), all of the churches on LBK will be gathering at the Chapel for the island-wide Thanksgiving Worship Service at 5 p.m. In-person (masks required for this service) and online streaming is available and We Need You!

Next Thursday (November 25) is Thanksgiving and the Chapel is hosting a lunch for anyone who would like to attend (limit 60 people). The traditional lunch includes turkey, dressing, and all the goodies that go with it, beginning at 1 p.m. However, I'm going to ask you to come a little earlier to help us decorate the Chapel for Christmas. Yep, that's right, We Need You.

Lastly, if you didn't know, the Chapel's Friendship Garden is completely decorated for the Holidays. Each night during the Holidays, the Garden will glow with holiday lights and sway to traditional holiday music. Live concerts, carols, and special visitors (Ho Ho Ho!) will also be included during our first, "Christmas in the Garden". This is a fantastic opportunity to meet people within our community. We are gonna Need You in case anyone needs to find a restroom while they're strolling our Gardens!

Yes, all this stuff starts next week. But honestly, if you are available for a couple of hours any of the next few days (Nov 17-20), come to the Chapel beginning at 10 am. We could use a few extra hands and feet to help us decorate and fluff some trees in the Garden. In summary, God is growing the Chapel and We Need You!

(Disclaimer: The preceding information has been an unpaid solicitation for free labor. Any references to specific people are purely by coincidence. If this causes anyone to feel guilty, please ignore it completely. It's not nice to use guilt as an incentive. We Just Need You and I'm trying to be creative to attract your attention.)

See you on Sunday! God Bless, Brock.
