NATIONAL REPENTANCE

John the Baptist preached repentance. Jesus preached repentance. We usually understand this to be for our individual sins or shortcomings. But there is also a broader aspect for which we have no individual failure. We can learn of this repentance from the wisest man found in the Old Testament, the prophet Daniel. (No, Solomon was not the wisest.)

In the Book of Daniel, chapter nine, we see that Daniel, by prayer and supplications, donned sackcloth and ashes as he sorrowfully repented for the sins of Israel and Judah. This sin had brought them into Babylonian captivity. He repented for all the leaders of the country and for the whole populace.

This prayer of national repentance took place near the end of the 70 years of captivity foretold by Jeremiah. God’s response to Daniel was to send to him the archangel Gabriel with a special revelation of God’s historical timeline which we call “Daniel’s 70 weeks.” It focused on the 70th week which we call the Great Tribulation.

Daniel was especially privileged by God because of his meek, humble, and repentant heart. He repented for the whole nation, even though he personally had not part of the sin.

This shows that it is good and right for you and me to also repent for the sins of America, our politicians, and the overall population as a whole. Perhaps then God will give us somewhat of a reprieve.

POTENTIAL

We have been talking a lot about seeds lately. One thing for sure, you will never get any type of harvest if you never plant a seed.

Jesus called himself a seed when He said in John 12:24, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a corn (kernel) of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.”

A harvest starts with the planting of a seed. Every seed has potential, but where it is planted determines its outcome. Every life is a seed my friend. When we come to Christ, we are called “…trees of righteousness, a planting of the Lord...” (Isaiah 61:3c.) Jesus planted his life in us as a seed. Now it is up to us to nourish it and bring it into its full potential.

We know there will be stony, wayside, and thorny ground where this seed is planted. The way to have potential when the seed is planted is to get rid of the thorns and stones in our heart from the life we have lived.  We also must be serious about this seed, and not neglect it like the one planted on the wayside.

As we move into the presence of God daily, and spend time reading the Word of God, we will see that seed grow. Like any seed, it must be watered daily. This happens through the “water of the word.” That brings the potential greater than just letting it sit idly in our heart.

You are capable of full potential. What your potential will be is your decision. God will help you overcome every obstacle to reach that potential. Expect Him to help you. Keep the promises of God close at hand, and never doubt that you will reach the place of full maturity in Christ. It is yours, but it takes faith and action to bring it about. Just know this, the seed planted is the Lord himself, and you can do this with His help.

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

The greatest gift we can give someone is love. This does not mean we always like what they do, but we love them as Jesus loved us. We can show this love through a simple hug, or a smile, or a word of encouragement. Let your love walk be the kind of walk that brings that love to others!

APOSTLE PAT MURRAY

PROPHECTIC EXHORTATION

3-23-2023

Just know that regardless of how things may look in your life at this point in time...God is still God. Yes, He was, He is and He forever shall be your on time, every time, saving, healing, loving, peace giving and covenant keeping God; And He will never fail you, grieve you, deceive you or leave you. Just because you’ve experienced some hurts and perhaps even a set back due to unfortunate circumstances does not mean that you’re done with and that God is through with you. So pick yourself up and get going; For it’s time for you to release, forgive, forget and move on. You can trust God...For He is right there beside you loving you, leading you and guiding you through it all. Remember, the only time you’re to ever look back...Is to be thankful for how far you’ve come. After all you’ve come too far to look back now at what used to be. So quit thinking about the way things could’ve been or should’ve been; And the best thing you can to do is to forget it and thank God for what He’s brought you through…And to where He is taking you to.

 A Wretch? HCC

Oh, Amazing Grace, that saved a wretch like me.

My blessing, this Christ, this Savior,

Who died for me. He set me free.

He forgave my sins, after Satan entered humanity.

Adam and Eve, yes they sinned.

Their sin continued on to all of us.

                       We’re now wretched.

But that is not what God wanted for us.

So out of love, he sent his Son, the Christ.

He suffered, he died for forgiveness for us.

Now were saved, our Eternity is clear.

                       Our Christ Jesus, our Lord,

                       Our Amazing Grace is here.

How sweet the sound. What love he gave.

Smile and know, this Amazing Grace!
