EMPLOYEE TRAINING GRANT

The Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland provides training funding to businesses for upgrading the skills of current employees while creating opportunities for new hires for in-demand occupations and skills. Train your
current employees in industry-focused, employer-based, needed certifications or credentials that can help your company retain top talent, increase job satisfaction and morale, improve productivity and earn more profit.

A company can apply for up to $25k per program year (July 1-June 30th).
An employee can utilize up to $4k over the course of 3 program years.

2022 Maryland Sustainable Growth Awards - Nominations are Open

The Maryland Sustainable Growth Awards celebrate significant achievement by individuals, businesses, organizations, and local governments to support the
12 planning visions adopted by the Maryland General Assembly. The awards promote exemplary work that represents or inspires collaboration, innovation, conservation, community impact, and quality of life.

Awards are given in the categories of Leadership and Service, Sustainable Communities, and Preservation/Conservation and will be presented at the 2022 Sustainable Growth Awards Ceremony later this year.

Nominate worthy people and projects today. Self-nominations are accepted! Award application and guidelines are available at the Maryland Department of Planning's Award Nominations webpage. The deadline for nominations is July 15, 2022.

The Nonprofit Institute has added a class and two free, one-hour workshops.
 
On Tuesday, June 21, Certified Public Accountant Christa Hood of Askey, Askey & Associates will help you learn best practices for managing your nonprofit’s finances, and work with you to better understand the important budget portion of the grant application process. Spend the morning with us as we navigate nonprofit finance basics and become grant-ready! (Registration closes June 20.)  
 
Two free virtual workshops in July will review ARPA federal guidance and answer your grant questions:

Members of this committee work together to provide a clear way to move their missions forward.

Membership Engagement—4th Tuesday of the Month—11:00 am
Members of this committee serve as the primary liaison to new Chamber members as well as playing an essential role in member recruitment, communication and retention.

Special Events3rd Tuesday of the month—3:30 pm
Members assist with the creation, planning and execution of Chamber special events.
