UT Teen Health Parent Advisory Board
UT Teen Health is seeking a representative from each Catholic school in the Archdiocese of San Antonio to be part of a Parent Advisory Board (PAB), in a partnership between UT Teen Health and the Catholic schools of the Archdiocese of San Antonio. UT Teen Health is an organization from the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio whose mission is to promote adolescent health and wellness by providing medically accurate health information to the community and encouraging positive youth development and healthy life choices. The PAB would then represent the voice of parents in our community and learn how to talk to other parents and our children about making healthy choices.
If you would like to serve in this capacity as a representative of Antonian, please use the following link to remit your name no later than 5:00 p.m. this coming Sunday, September 12, 2021.

FACE MASKS/COVERINGS
Antonian's re-entry plan states that all students, staff, spectators, visitors, etc. are to wear a face mask or covering while inside our facilities.
The policy is in effect during all Antonian school-sponsored events, athletic contests (indoors), and evening meetings with clubs and/or organizations.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation regarding this policy. Our primary goal is to ensure the safety of our community and guests while on campus.
Thank you.

Voluntary Vaccination Status Report
In order to allow Antonian to determine an overall vaccination percentage for our community and to facilitate contact tracing and quarantine needs in the event of an exposure, students are invited to voluntarily submit evidence of their COVID vaccine card. If the parent/guardian of the student agrees to do so, he/she should upload images of the front and back of the COVID vaccination card through their grade level Google Classroom assignment.

Meditations
By: Marcus Aurelius
Suggested by: Cristian Lopez '21
Theme: Rebuild
Summary: When the Roman emperor and philosopher Marcus Aurelius wrote these twelve books in AD 170, his empire was in disarray; this is essentially his personal journal. During these hard times, he wrote to himself in the hopes that he would improve his character and become a better person overall. He hoped to achieve this by practicing stoicism, an ancient philosophy that advocates for the endurance of suffering without expression, treating others with kindness, and finding inner peace.
Take Away: I learned that although we suffer, it’s up to us to determine how we will react to it. We should deal with our stress and suffering calmly, while maintaining our focus, and doing what we can to fix it. By dealing with our problems in this way, treating others fairly and justly, controlling our desires, and understanding the world around us, stoicism can help us to live happier lives.
