Since the last “Happenings” of 2021, we’ve celebrated holidays, enjoyed a “White Christmas”, bid "Auld Lang Syne" to 2021 and welcomed a New Year.

The NH Mobile Vaccine Van will be at the Abbott Library THIS AFTERNOON January 12 from 1 PM to 4 PM.
The following vaccines will be available:
- Primary doses for Pfizer, Moderna and J&J. THIS INCLUDES PRIMARY DOSES FOR CHILDREN AGES 5-11 AND 12-17
- 3rd doses for Pfizer and Moderna for persons who are moderately to severely immunocompromised
- Booster doses for Pfizer, Moderna and J&J FOR AGES 16 AND UP
Vaccines are FREE and available to all, regardless of your town of residence.

Nutcracker at KCPA

Please join us for this incredible production. We were the first to bring our totally fresh and unique version of THE NUTCRACKER to our area! This incredible production combines all the performing arts. A charming Victorian family reads the original story, vocalists sing and traveling carolers bring to life this Christmas classic, revealing an in-depth understanding of the ballet. The choreography is also unique, including all of the dance arts such as tap, acro, jazz, hip hop and of course, beautiful ballet! Tickets: Adults $20, Children and Students $15

Dancing with the Stars in Newport

The Opera House stage sparkles with Newport’s finest dancing contestants, each vying for the winner’s trophy! A winning couple will be chosen each night so be sure to vote for your favorites!

The Tracy in New London, Richards Free Library in Newport, the Newbury Library and Sunapee’s Abbott have each made accommodations to safely offer services during these times. The librarians are always happy to suggest books to match your interests... and alert you to new publications... just ask. The Abbott even has a new online catalog to make your selection easy.

Here at the library, we launched our new catalog browsing service, Aspen Discovery, on December 15th over at https://abbott.aspendiscovery.org/ - We think it will not only be friendlier to browse, but it will also allow you to more easily place holds, request materials, and browse new materials similar to your favorites!
