Dear Families and Community Members,

My fourth-grade daughter is learning the cello and loving it, despite the fact that she said she never wanted to play an instrument. And each week, she looks forward to finding a new book to check out at the library. My tenth-grade son is taking advantage of all that Campolindo has to offer, from electives and core classes to sports and the musical. There are so many possibilities for my children and for all of our children in our local public schools. And that is thanks to your donations to MEF.

Since the passage of Prop 13 in the late 1970s, the state of California has not prioritized public education funding. But here in Moraga, parents, alumni, community members, and businesses understand that the strength of our schools is critical to the wellbeing of our community. And for the last forty years, Moraga residents have supported students TK-12th grade by donating to the Moraga Education Foundation.

Because of this private support, we are lucky to have some of the best public schools in the state available to every Moraga resident. My kids benefitted from the investments made by the families of students that came before them, and each year, families pick up the baton and continue making the investment - ensuring that their own children and the children that will come after theirs have the same opportunities.

There are many competing demands on our time and our wallets. That is why I am so grateful that you have chosen to support our schools with a donation to MEF. Every donation at any level makes a difference.

Thank you for creating possibilities for every student, every day at Moraga public schools. I wish you and your family a wonderful break next week and a very happy Thanksgiving.
Sincerely,

Ana Moon
