As-salaamu-alaikum everyone!

I heard the MSA Banquet was amazing! Congratulations to everyone who helped make that event a success. However, don't think that it was just the organizers who made it a success (although they do get special shoutouts...May Allah reward them!) , each and every person who attended made that event a success. Do not forget the power of one and how a single individual can make a difference. You made a decision to be involved. You decided to join this email list. These decisions may be small to you, but they are really big from the perspective of a community.

So I just wanted to thank everyone who is reading this email. Thank you for being involved and doing your part to make Muslim Life at Duke a memorable experience. I hope to see you at an event soon. Keep checking these weekly emails and find something that fits within your schedule. And whenever you decide to attend an event...it's gonna be a BIG DEAL!!

Best,
Joshua Salaam
Chaplain and Director
