Hello Hamilton Mill Family,

Every month, the leadership of our church wants to provide our most up to date information regarding the finances of our church. This is our way of striving to be transparent and keep you informed.

As you can see, our giving is not where we need or had hoped it would be to make ministry possible in and through HMUMC. The staff and leadership of the church are working hard to be good stewards of all of our resources, while striving to invest in ministry in meaningful and life-changing ways.

We are inviting you to pray for the mission and ministry of our church and for God to grow our hearts with love for God and love for people. And for God to grow in us generous hearts, that will enable us to live into our mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

I AM: Lenten Series

The purposes of the Lent are to deepen our appreciation of what Jesus has done for us, to grow our relationship with Jesus and to open our hearts and lives us to the transforming power of God’s love. No matter how long we’ve known and followed, there is always MORE to Jesus than we know.   

We can’t think of a better way of getting to know Jesus other than listening to and examining what he said about himself. Therefore, throughout the season of Lent we will be reflecting on Jesus’ I AM statements, recorded in the Gospel of John. 

THIS WEEK'S SERMON PREVIEW

 John 14:1-7 | I AM the Way, the Truth, & the Life | Pastor Wendy

Life pulls us in different directions, so many, that sometimes it is difficult to discern which way to go. We are inundated with information, opinions, and varying perspectives, so many, that sometimes it is difficult to discern what is true. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life.” This self-proclaimed name for Jesus helps us to walk in the way that leads to life and truth.

COMING UP

• March 19-26: Above All Love All Service Week is happening NOW! This is our annual service week where we go out into our community, spreading smiles and laughter, serving together in lots of different ways. There is something for everyone this week! With dozens of service projects, there are plenty of options like physical labor, painting, packing bags, writing cards, gardening. But ABOVE ALL, this week is a chance to LOVE ALL! • Holy Week Prayer Walk! April 3rd-8th. Drop in for a guided prayer walk in the Rooftop! Monday-Wednesday from 9AM-4PM; Thursday- Friday from 9AM-7PM; Saturday from 9AM-12PM.
• Maundy Thursday | April 6: tabled service at 10AM in the Worship Center
• Good Friday | April 7: service at 7PM in the Worship Center
• Easter Sunday | April 9: 7AM Sunrise Service, followed by 9:15AM Modern and 11AM Traditional services!

LENTEN GROW GROUPS

We already have over 200 people ready to participate in our Lenten Study “Jesus Revealed: The I Am Statements of Jesus.” These groups will enrich what you gain from the sermons and strengthen your knowledge of the Gospel of John. If you are looking to connect with new people at Hamilton Mill UMC and grow in your faith, this study is the perfect opportunity to jump in. Join us!

On Wednesday Nights, join us for an opportunity to dig deeper into our Lenten Sermon Series, the I AM sayings of Jesus. We will explore and discuss other related scripture passages, examine other aspects of the imagery, and experience these metaphors in creative ways!

KIDS MINISTRY

Our Kids Ministry is dedicated to partnering with parents to equip kids to lead Christ-centered lives.

• Sunday Mornings | Nursery - 5th grade | 9:15AM & 11AM
• Wednesday Nights | Supper at 5:30PM | Groups 6:30PM-7:45PM
• For kids aged K-5th grade. Music, games, and Bible study!
• Optional Kids Choir for 3yrs - 5th grade from 6:30-7:15PM

STUDENT MINISTRY

The Student Ministry exists to encourage, equip, and empower students to grow as disciples who lead others to Jesus Christ.

• Sunday Mornings | 6th - 12th grade | 11AM
• In the student center
• Wednesday Nights | Supper at 5:30PM | Groups 6:30PM
• For students to experience authentic worship, encounter Scripture, and engage in small groups split by grade & gender for deeper discussion.

PRESCHOOL

• The Hamilton Mill UMC Preschool is looking to hire lead teachers to start in the fall! If you are interested in applying, please email our Preschool Director, Jennifer Markham at jennifer.markham@hmumc.org

COFFEE CHATS WITH PASTOR JASON

GO and serve, making disciples at HMUMC and in our community.

• Serve at HMUMC: Hospitality Team, Worship & Tech Team, Kids Ministry, Student Ministry, Kitchen Angels and so much more!
• Serve with the Pantry: The Pantry is open every Saturday morning and feeds an average of 600 families each week, all with the help of generous givers and volunteers. Serving opportunities are available all week long!

EASTER FLOWERS

Easter Sunday is just around the corner on April 9^th! On Easter Sunday, we will place flowers in the Worship Center and around the altar. As a symbol of resurrection hope, love, and peace you may donate these flowers in honor or memory of loved ones and take the plant home with you the following Sunday (April 16^th) after our Easter Cantata. Each flower donation is $15 and will be a hydrangea or similar. The deadline to donate is March 26^th. Follow the link below to recognize a loved one this Easter.
