Dear Friend of BOEC,
As we move into 2022 I find myself reflecting back on the past year, on the many challenges we all faced and worked together to overcome, the courage of our participants who returned for fun and adventure, and to all of you who contributed so much to helping us along the way.
Your generous contributions and kind words of encouragement and support have meant so much to us as we navigate the ongoing impact of the pandemic. We are as committed as ever to getting people outside and active while measuring and balancing the risks we continue to face. Thank you for your understanding, your patience, and your support. We could not do this without you.
This month we are excited to introduce you to yet one more person who makes BOEC special. Jen Schappert started with BOEC as an intern, moved on to work in both BOEC’s Ski and Wilderness programs, and is now a welcome addition to the Board of Directors.
We are also excited to welcome back the Banff Mountain Film Festival this February and hope that many of you will join us (vaccinated and masked!) for two nights of amazing films that celebrate the great outdoors.
Finally, I want to personally thank each and every one of you who gave so generously to BOEC throughout the year and during BOEC’s annual holiday appeal. We continue to welcome new donors to the BOEC family as well as so many who have given generously year after year. Thank you from our BOEC family to all of you for your continued support and friendship.
We extend our wishes to you all for a healthy, safe, and adventure-filled year ahead.
Warmly,
