UU the Vote at UUFSCC!
Sunday June 19th after the service at 11:05

UU the Vote 2022 fights for fair elections, voting rights, and more. Here's an opportunity to put your values into action!

Following the service on June 19, we will meet outside and learn how to personalize printed form letters to send to under-represented and infrequent voters. We each will write a personal, positive, non-partisan statement about why YOU vote to encourage the receiver to vote in the mid-term election. Think about what you might want to say. (Click here for guidance on what to write.)
All needed supplies will be provided and will help to create your message. Come write 5 letters, 20, or more! Take some to write at home! Every letter helps. Mature children are encouraged to join us! If your body does not like writing, come help in other ways. Could you stuff our completed letters into envelopes and seal them? We plan to make this a monthly activity from now through Oct. (dates not yet determined). The letters will be saved and mailed in late Oct., just before the election. If you are attending the services virtually, we will plan to set up a couple of Zooms for learning how to write the letters at home and more if you want to virtually. Let us know if you are interested so we can plan for the number of people and whether you will attend in person or via Zoom.

Even if you don't RSVP, join us! We will plan to have extras of all supplies!

Sponsored by the Justice Team.

  Dance as a Spiritual Practice:

UUFSCC Community Minister, Rev. Terra Collier-Young and her husband, Scott Young, extend an invitation for members and friends to join in a somatic embodiment practice called Conscious Dance, held on Saturday mornings, 9:50-11:30am via Zoom.

This is an opportunity to participate in a musically motivated moving meditation, letting your body move as it is naturally inclined to and without judgement.

June Shared Plate Recipient

This month, instead of our typical shared plate, the Justice Team invites you to give generously to our UUFSC community (with 100% of the plate staying with UUFSCC this month).
We also invite you to get involved in actions of faith and justice! Join us after worship on the patio June 19th for UU the Vote letter writing, and look for other announcements about ways we can collectively put our faith into action.
Thank you for your work and support!
