New Appointed Members of the BC Chicken Marketing Board
On October 12, 2021, the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia has appointed Carol Paulson and Bill Vanderspek as members of the BC Chicken Marketing Board for terms of two years each.

Carol has extensive experience in project management, communications and marketing at two major food processing organizations, Dairyland Foods and Canada Bread. She has served on several boards and committees, including the BC Agricultural Land Commission, various Township of Langley advisory committees, and the Langley Sustainable Agriculture Foundation. Carol has a B.Sc. (Agr) from the University of British Columbia.

Bill Vanderspek has a lifetime of experience in the BC chicken sector. In 2017, Bill was awarded the Canadian Hatchery Federation Max Weiner Award for his significant contributions to the Canadian poultry industry. This is the second time Bill has been a member of our board - his first appointment in 2003 was cut short when he accepted the permanent position of the BCCMB General Manager in 2005, a position he held for over 17 years.
