Each year, five at-large members are elected by the MARC NAHRO membership to serve three-year terms on the region’s Executive Board, the policy-making body of the region. The Executive Board also plans for and is held accountable for activities of the Region. At a minimum, the Board will meet twice annually, either virtually or in-person. Any “Active” member is eligible to serve on the Executive Board, and we hope you will consider serving. MARC NAHRO needs your experience and perspective to help inform decisions about the region’s programs, products, and services so that MARC NAHRO will become stronger, more vibrant and continue to meet the needs of its members!
The election of Executive Board members is managed by the Nominations and Election Committee (N&E), which is appointed by the Regional President. The N&E will select nominees for the election ballot in accordance with the region’s By-laws.
Members who are interested in serving on the Executive Board should complete and submit the “Affidavit,” a headshot and brief bio to N&E Chair John T. Mahon by January 21, 2022.
The N&E will advise the membership of nominees whose name will appear on the election ballot by February 10. Additional names will be placed on the election ballot upon the receipt of a valid petition by February 25, as prescribed in the region’s by-laws. The electronic voting will take place in March.
