Dear Rising Tide Students and Families,
We look forward to seeing families this week during the Student-Advisor-Parent Conferences. As we did in November, we will share the report cards through the Community Portal on Wednesday morning in advance of the conferences, and the conferences will take place Wednesday through Friday. Please plan to visit the Scholastic Book Fair when you are in the building this week.
You can view the course narratives prepared by our teachers for each of our coursesthrough the links below:
Middle School Third Term Narratives 2022-2023
Upper School Third Term Narratives 2022-2023
If your conference is scheduled near the end of the school day this week, your child is able to stay at school, in a quiet study hall in the Atrium, until the conference. On Wednesday, April 12, students will be able stay at school until 1:30 pm. On Thursday and Friday, students will be able to stay at school until 4:15 pm.
We encourage you to sign up for the May 20 5K Fun Run and Health Fair -- if you register by next week, you get early-bird pricing and a t-shirt for runners.
Have a wonderful week.
Sincerely,

Rising Tide Students to Perform Radio Show, Trap
Rising Tide's after-school theater class will be giving three virtual performances of Trap by Stephen Gregg on Wednesday, April 26, Thursday, April 27, and Friday, April 28 at 6:00 pm. Under the direction of Mr. Senegal and Mrs. Tew, students in grades nine through twelve will be performing this mystery-thriller radio play which has an incomprehensible plotline: Every person in the audience of a high school play falls unconscious--every person but one. Using interviews with witnesses, loved ones, first responders, and the investigators pursuing the case, a theatre ensemble brings the story of the strange event to life, documentary-style.
Plan to gather your family around the computer and enjoy dinner while listening to the students' live broadcast. Information about how to purchase tickets will be announced soon.

Special Screening for 7th- and 9th-Grade Students
Rising Tide students in grades 7 and 9 will be participating in a student screening that the state has asked all public schools to implement during the 2022-2023 school year. Screening, Brief Intervention, Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) is an evidence-based screening tool aimed at preventing the use of alcohol, marijuana, and/or other substance abuse and is required by MA law (Chapter 52, acts of 2016). The goal of this screening is to identify students who require additional support and help them to obtain this support for any substance use. The Wellness Team will be conducting these screenings with grades 7 and 9 during the month of April. If you have any questions, please contact Shawna Weekly at sweekly@risingtide.org.

Rising Tide Opens Additional Enrollment Period
Rising Tide has opened an additional Enrollment Application Period for the 2023-2024 school year. This additional Enrollment Period runs from Monday, April 3, 2023 through Friday, May 12, 2023. The school currently has limited seats available for grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 and is therefore accepting applications for those grades. Rising Tide will also accept applications for a waitlist pool for grade 5, as there is a possibility that the current waitlist for grade 5 may be exhausted. If the current waitlist for grade 5 is exhausted, the school will schedule a lottery drawing for the grade 5 waitlist pool at that time.
Rising Tide currently has long waiting lists in grades 6-8, determined through the Primary Enrollment Lottery held on February 15, and does not anticipate exhausting the waiting lists for those grade levels; therefore the school is not able to accept applications for grades 6-8 in this Enrollment Period.
If necessary, Rising Tide will conduct an additional enrollment lottery for applicants for grades 9-12 in a virtual public forum from the school on Monday, May 15, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.
Enrollment applications are due by Friday, May 12, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. All applicants, including siblings of current students, must submit the one-page application by the deadline to be eligible for enrollment.
If interested in becoming a student, all applicants, including siblings of current students, must submit the one-page application by the deadline to be eligible for enrollment. Applications can be completed online here or downloaded here. Copies are also available at the front desk of the school located at 59 Armstrong Road in Plymouth. Completed paper applications can be faxed to (508) 747-1826, emailed to mjackson@risingtide.org, mailed, or dropped off to the front desk. Please note that no proof of residency is required along with a student’s application.
