NOVEMBER 2020
Investigate. Inform. Inspire.
Message from the CEO -
The Future of Wellness,
Since 1970.

In March 2020, I doubt any of us thought that we would still be struggling with the impact of COVID-19 this fall – social distancing, wearing masks, extra handwashing, working from home, and students doing both online and in-person learning. Yet, here we are and even with these challenges, The Cooper Institute has carried on its important work on healthy living through research and education.
Shifting Focus to Physical Activity

Just as schools are finding new pathways to deliver education, so too, are The Cooper Institute Youth Programs. Historically, both Cooper Youth Programs, the NFL PLAY 60 FitnessGram Project and the Healthy Zone School Program, have focused on evaluating the impact of physical activity/nutrition related initiatives on youth fitness and health.
Together, we stand greater than diabetes.

As November comes to an end, The American Diabetes Association encourages us to take action and conquer this disease together, as a community.

During the pandemic, many of the 34 million people living with diabetes have lost their jobs and as a result have lost their healthcare. Exercise is key to preventing and managing gestational and type 2 diabetes, and for managing type 1 diabetes.
