Town News
Sandwich. Cotuit Road and Nauset Street.  We continue toward submission of building permits so we can begin early infrastructure for this project in the late fall, early winter 2021/2022. There will be a total of three homes built, two on Cotuit Road and one on Nauset Street.  If all goes well, we hope to raise walls on these homes in late summer, 2022.

Chatham. George Ryder Road South. We have submitted our building permit applications for this two home project. We hope to begin infrastructure work on this project in late fall 2021, with wall raising in late spring 2022.

Brewster. 26 Red Top Road. Our 40B Comprehensive permit was approved by the Brewster ZBA on October 12th. We look forward to a 2023 wall raising for two homes on this site.

Dennis. 401 Setucket Road. We have the property under agreement, and are in preliminary planning for a four home project on the site. Stay tuned for more information.

We continue our assessment of a number of sites in towns across the Cape. We are always on the lookout for suitable sites for Habitat homes. If you would like to consider the donation of a parcel of property, or know of a town owned site that might be suitable, please contact Beth Wade, Director of Land Acquisition & Project Development, at land@habitatcapecod.org or 508-362-3559 x 24.  Thank you!

Giving
This holiday season, consider honoring someone special with a tribute gift to Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod.

Great gift idea for teachers, co-workers, or that friend or family member who is hard to shop for. For your donation of $20 or more,we will mail your honoree a beautiful holiday card on your behalf.

The wording inside the card will say: A gift has been made to Habitat Cape Cod in your honor by (name of donor).

This gift will help a family in need of an affordable
home here on Cape Cod.

Sending a Habitat Holiday Card is easy:

• Donate online. Please be sure to put the mailing address of the person who should receive the holiday card in the donation notes box.

• Or mail your gift to the office: 411 Main Street, Suite 6, Yarmouth Port, MA 02675 with a note stating you would like a Holiday card mailed to a specific person and their address.

• Or call the Habitat office at 508-362-3559 x 12
Sometimes it is much easier to give $25 a month instead of a lump sum of $300. Habitat can charge your card each month until you want to stop, get a new card, or need to change the amount at any time.

Consider a LEGACY GIFT to Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod. You can help us do what we do today, even better, for generations to come. A planned gift is simple to arrange
and often returns benefits back to you.

For example, you can:

• Make a gift today that costs you nothing during your lifetime
• Receive guaranteed payments for life in return for your gift
• Donate life insurance you no longer need
• Give appreciated stocks, bonds or mutual funds
• Preserve your estate for your heirs and support a cause you care about
• Use a gift to reduce your estate tax exposure and eliminate capital gains
• Donate your house or vacation property, take a tax
deduction and continue to use the property for as long as you’d like

We believe deeply in the mission of HHCC — and we have abiding confidence in the exceptional staff. We want to leave a bit of our heritage to several lasting causes, and it has simply made sense to include HHCC. This chapter does remarkable and lasting good here on the Cape, meeting a need which surely will continue long into the foreseeable future. Lives have been, and will continue to be, profoundly changed for the better and in a long-lasting way — simply by the provision of safe, affordable, stable, and eco-friendly housing. - Dr. Rob and Bev Park
