WEEKLY WORSHIP SCHEDULE
Being COVID Safe

Starting THIS SUNDAY, November 29th and running through January 3rd, the following service schedule will be implemented. Pastor Veronika and both Vestries came to this decision based upon the local spike in positive COVID cases and guidance from our Bishop.

  • 8:30 AM: St. Martin's will remain open with Morning Prayer and a congregation limit up to 25 people that includes Pastor Veronika, a reader, the music ministers (Emily and Derek), and an usher. Recording the service will be tested in case there is a need later to close the church to a congregation.
  • 10:30 AM: Christ Church will hold Morning Prayer online only with no congregation. This will be live-streamed to the Christ Church website and St. Martin's YouTube channel.

Your dedication and flexibility are greatly appreciated!
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Advent

November 29th is the first Sunday of Advent, and in Zoom Sunday School we will begin our preparations for the birth of Jesus Christ! All ages are invited to join us any week for Zoom Sunday School. We welcome children, teens, and adults from other churches or who may not have a church home but would like to be part of our Sunday School community. Please let Ms Deb know if you have questions or if there is someone you would like to have us email or call.

ADVENT KITS
Prepare for the Season

You are invited to keep a holy Advent using a variety of prayers, calendars, and other items in the 2020 Advent Kit. These are the weeks where we are preparing and waiting for Christ's birth! Envelopes with all the items will be available at both churches on November 29th (Advent 1), or in the church office during regular office hours. Supplies are limited so please pick up your kit as soon as convenient. If you are not going to stop by one of the churches, an alternative is to contact Deb Parker to have an email Advent Kit sent to you with links to PDFs and other free Advent resources.
THANKSGIVING OUTREACH
Food Collection Success!

Thank you to the parishioners at Christ Church and St. Martin's who participated in our Thanksgiving Bag program. We delivered 52 bags filled with dinner sides plus 2 turkeys and some extra items on Monday, November 23rd. This exceeded our goal of 40 bags, and your response was amazing. The resident who accepted the bags was overwhelmed and expressed her heartfelt gratitude. Everything was distributed to the Highland Residents on Tuesday. We truly helped to give a blessed Thanksgiving to all.
BIBLE DISCUSSION
The Coming of Christ

The Bible Discussion will focus during Advent on what the four Gospels have to say about the coming of Christ. On December 3rd we begin by comparing the stories in Matthew and Luke. You may be surprised by the differences in these two accounts! This Bible discussion is open to everyone. You are invited to bring you memories of past Christmases because we will connect to the stories through our own life experiences. Contact Deb Parker if you have questions, technical issues, or would like to be on the distribution list to view a video of the discussion later in the day.

A GIVING CELEBRATION
The Second Sunday of Advent

Even though we are distanced these days, there's still opportunity to fill the needs of our Highland Community neighbors. In the past families brought unwrapped toys for St. Nicholas to pick up and redistribute. In honoring the legacy of St. Nicholas’ giving spirit, this year we are asking that you donate paper towels, toilet paper, Kleenex type tissues, dish and laundry detergents. Donations can be dropped off during office hours at St. Martin's or Christ Church by noon on Friday, December 4th. The items will be a part of Sunday’s service on the 6th. Thank you for your generosity by providing for our neighbors.

For more info and activities relating to St. Nicholas, please visit the Saint Nicholas Center - https://www.stnicholascenter.org/how-to-celebrate/celebrate-at-home.
STEWARDSHIP
Pledge Sunday

There's still time! Pledge cards continue to be received at church. The Stewardship letter and pledge card can be found online by clicking here. Returns can be dropped off in-person during Sunday's worship at 8:30am or during office hours Monday, Wednesday, or Friday between 10:00am-2:00pm. If mailing your pledge, please send it to St. Martin's Church, 400 King of Prussia Rd, Radnor, PA 19087. Thank you for your support!
CHRISTMAS WORSHIP
The Holiday Schedule and Special Plans

Christmas services will be as follows:
  • Christmas Eve: *4:00 PM service pre-recorded at SMC, pageant included
  • Christmas Eve: 8:00 PM Holy Eucharist live streamed service at CCI, no congregation present, but musicians and readers present.
  • Christmas Day: 10:00 AM Zoom Morning Prayer from Pastor Veronika's house. Those who log in will be able to "see" each other and wish each other Merry Christmas.

*The 4:00 PM Christmas Eve service at St. Martin's Church will be specially designed for families to safely participate from home. A sharing of pictures would be a nice way to connect our church families to each other during this service. We invite you to send photos of your Christmas celebrations, tree decorating, or other holiday gatherings that have meaning for your family. Please email your selections to Deb Parker at stmartinsradnor@gmail.com by Dec. 15th. The photos will be used to create a festive photo montage and posted to Youtube for congregational viewing only via a private link. This is for Christ Church Ithan families too.
