PALM SUNDAY
April 2, 9:00 and 11:00am
Join us in worship this week as we celebrate Palm Sunday. All will receive palms and will remain in the Narthex until the service begins. When the doors to the Sanctuary are opened, we will process to our seats and lay our palms on the floor, in remembrance of Christ's Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem. It will be a special service you don't want to miss!

EASTER SUNDAY

We have 3 services planned for Easter Sunday. The 9:00am Contemporary and 11:00am Traditional services will meet as usual in the Sanctuary.
The 7:00am Sunrise service will meet outdoors at the campsite. Please bring your own folding chairs!

EASTER FLOWERS
We invite you to purchase Easter flowers to decorate the sanctuary on Easter Sunday. The flowers will be a combination of lilies and tulips. Order forms are available at the Connection Center. The last day to order flowers is this Sunday, April 2nd.

CAMPING CHURCH KICKOFF
Saturday, April 15, 5:00pm, Aledo UMC Campsite (weather permitting)
Join us for a church cookout at the AUMC campsite, followed by a campout for those who'd like to stay overnight! Sunrise devotional Sunday morning! Guest families are welcome! A limited number of tents and sleeping bags are available to borrow. Gas grill will be on site, and either a wood or propane fire for s'mores. Fill out the form HERE to preregister. MISSION TRIP OPPORTUNITIES
You can put your faith into action by joining a mission team this year. Our congregation has planned trips that reach out to others in need and demonstrate our commitment to serving. There is something for everyone!

July 9-13: Adult, Conroe, TX
July 30-August 5: Young Adult, N-X Ranch in Gardner, CO
October 22-26: Adult, Conroe, TX
Hey AUMC Youth! Don’t miss the deadline to turn in your registration paperwork and $75 deposit to join us on mission trip this summer! Forms and deposit are due this Sunday, April 2nd. Both trips must be paid in full by June 4th.
The Young Adult trip is for college-age people and young adults (mostly 18-30 y.o.), and we'll work on a ranch that serves fatherless boys. Parents, please be sure to let your college students know about this summer mission opportunity. For more information, contact Matt Reed at matt.westinland@att.net.
The Adult trip will work at the Mission Center in Conroe, which responds to natural disasters with pre-assembled kits that serve immediate needs. They include flood buckets, hygiene kits, and adult and child backpacks. We are doing God's work in Conroe! AUMC FELLOWSHIP OF MEN COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT

Texas Pythian Home (1825 E Bankhead Dr, Weatherford)
Our first community service project is tomorrow! We will be assisting the staff at the Texas Pythian Home with unpacking and organizing donations for their spring Garage Sale, which raises funds for all of the children's summer activities. You do not have to stay all day - any time you can give is appreciated! Water and snacks will be provided, and youth are welcome to participate. MEN'S RETREAT
July 21-23
The Men’s Retreat will be in July 21-23 in Turkey, TX, and includes outdoor sporting events and time to relax! Cost is $50, and space is limited to 22. Sign up at the Connection Center, or text 817-965-3573.

Our groups are open to adults in our community who are experiencing life's challenges. We all have difficult times in our lives when we need loving, compassionate support.
- Alzheimer's Support Group & Kaleidoscope - meets the second Thursday of each month at 1:00pm.
- Cancer Support Group - meets the second Tuesday of each month

Caring Hearts/Stephen Ministers - AUMC is blessed to have many compassionate, caring men and women who are available to visit and pray with you. If you're going through a struggle or difficult time, they offer a confidential, listening ear and a word or prayer. Whether you just want to visit once or twice, or if you need a long-term prayer partner, kind folks are here to support you! Pastor Joel will be sharing a short devotional with this group. Burritos and coffee will be served. This is an opportunity to meet new people and decompress. The goal is for those not retired, to get back on the road by 8:15, at the latest. A donation of $5 is asked to cover the cost.
